Liminal (pronounced LIM-in-ul) comes from the Latin word limen, meaning "threshold."
It describes the in-between space. The moment after something has ended but before something new has fully begun.
It's the space between who we were and who we're becoming.
Between holding on and letting go. Between movement and stillness.
And while the word might sound a little mysterious, the experience is something we all know.
We find ourselves in liminal spaces throughout our lives, often without even realizing it.
They're moments of transition, uncertainty, possibility, and transformation.

I chose the name Liminal Healing because I believe some of our most meaningful moments of healing happen in the spaces between.
Between tension and release. Between chaos and calm. Between the demands of everyday life and the rare opportunity to simply be.
Our bodies carry the effects of stress, physical strain, and the experiences that shape us. Sometimes we become so accustomed to carrying that weight that we forget what it feels like to put it down.
To me, massage therapy is more than working with muscles. It's an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and give your body the attention and care it deserves.
Liminal Healing is about honoring that space. A place where therapeutic bodywork meets intentional care, where science and intuition can coexist, and where healing doesn't have to follow a straight line.
You don't need to arrive with all the answers. You don't even need to know exactly what you need.
Sometimes, simply allowing yourself the space to pause is where healing begins.

At Liminal Healing, you don't have to be in the middle of a major life transition to find yourself in a liminal space.
Sometimes that space exists in the quiet moments between a busy morning and the rest of your day. In the deep breath you didn't realize you were holding. In the moment your shoulders finally soften and your body begins to settle.
My approach to massage therapy combines therapeutic techniques, intentional touch, and an understanding of how closely our physical and emotional well-being are connected.
Whether you're seeking relief from chronic pain, working through persistent tension, exploring energy work, or simply needing a moment to reconnect with yourself, each session is tailored to meet you where you are.
There is no pressure to feel a certain way, no expectation of transformation, and no single definition of what healing should look like.
Just a space to rest, reconnect, and allow your body to experience something different.
Because sometimes the most meaningful changes begin in the space between.
